Is Tampa Pediatrics the same as St. Petersburg Pediatrics?

Yes, we are the same company. Tampa Pediatrics is a division of St. Petersburg Pediatrics. St. Petersburg Pediatrics represents all of our Pinellas County offices, while Tampa Pediatrics represents our office located in Tampa.

 

How do I schedule an appointment? What are your working hours?

Our offices are open Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, and Saturday & Sunday 9am-12pm. * Office hours vary by location and are subject to change, please call ahead. We try to make it convenient for you by giving you same-day appointments for your children.

 

What is your policy on Confirmation and Cancellation of Appointments?

If you are unable to keep your appointment please call us 24 hours in advanced if possible. Your phone call is critical in helping us provide continuous care to all our valued patients.

 

What forms of payment does St. Petersburg Pediatrics accept?

For your convenience, St. Petersburg Pediatrics accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, Discover, American Express, and MasterCard. We also accept cash, personal checks and money orders. Please be prepared to pay all co-pays, deductibles and service fees not covered by your insurance, on date of visit.

 

What if I have an emergency at home? Suppose my child falls sick after the working hours of your office? St. Petersburg Pediatrics works closely with Evening Pediatrics, an after-hours pediatrics practice. You may also call our on-call service who will connect you with our on-call doctor.

 

What is PHI?

PHI is Protected Health Information. We require information from you that will form a complete picture of your child’s medical history. Your PHI will not be shared by us but will aid in better diagnosis and treatment. Read more about our Privacy Policy.

 

I am expecting, or I have a newborn baby and need to make a visit to your office. Is there anything I need to do first?

Please notify your insurance provider about the baby’s birth. This needs to be done soon after the child is born or you will be responsible for paying your medical bills. If you are new to our practice, please verify that St. Petersburg Pediatrics/Tampa Pediatrics is an approved health care service provider, before you schedule an appointment with us.

 

This is my first baby and I’m not sure what to do to keep my baby healthy. I want to be a good mother but there are so many things to think about. How will I cope?

Don’t worry! We understand your concerns as a new mother. Our team of caring, courteous staff is there to help you at every step. We will let you know about the baby’s immunization schedule, advise you about breast-feeding, and helping you through the paperwork. If you have questions, feel free to ask us. We’re here to ensure that your baby stays healthy and happy!

 

I’m a working mom and am really rushed for time. How can I save time at the doctor’s office?

If this is your first visit to our office, you can download the patient information forms and fill them out at home. This helps you and it helps us to have a smooth visit.

 

What is the age range of children St. Petersburg Pediatrics cares for?

We treat children from newborns through 18 years of age.

If your staff and providers feel my child has an emergency issue that warrants an immediate hospital visit, what form of transportation services are available.

911 services will be used in the event of a true emergency.

Does St. Petersburg Pediatrics accept Walk-in’s?

It is our pleasure to offer walk-in appointments here at St. Petersburg Pediatrics. In order to serve our families in an orderly matter we encourage you to schedule your next appointment. Although we do accept walk-in please keep in mind appointments are given priority. Walk-in appointments will be fit in with whoever is available and unfortunately you may not always be seen by the provider of your choice. Waiting time will always differ for those without appointments day to day. We appreciate any help you can give us to better serve you. Thank you!
